Chopsticks: New York

While in New York City, I made a stop at Kinokuniya, a Japanese bookstore. This is a great book store with plenty of Asian themed and authored books available in English. They also have a significant number of books and magazines available in Japanese as well. I try to stop here on every visit to New York City. On this trip, a couple of the books I bought included a Japanese cookbook for wine lovers and a book detailing the Tsukuji fish market in Tokyo.

On the way out of the store, I picked up a free magazine, Chopsticks: New York. This is a monthly publication that is a comprehensive resource for all things Japanese in New York. It contains advertisements, articles, reviews, directory listings and much more. For example, you can find out about Japanese restaurants as well as reviews and where to buy Sake. I think it is a valuable resource for anyone traveling to New York City who loves Japanese culture. It is also valuable even if you are not going to the city as you can find intriguing articles. And as much, if not all, of the magazine is available online, then this resource is available to all.

I highly recommend you check out this cool magazine.
