May 17: Multiple Grand Wine Tastings

I am not sure if there was a conspiracy involved or not, but several local wine stores all have Grand Wine Tasting Events scheduled for Saturday, May 17. All of these events are free and should each have over 50 wines available for tasting. This will be an excellent opportunity to try some of the newest wines on the market and to start stocking up on summer wines.

OurGlass Wine Co.
124A Broadway (RT1 North)
Saugus, MA
From 3-7pm.
This Grand Spring Tasting will have plenty of wines, emphasizing summer whites, refreshing roses', and grilling reds from all over the world. There will also be Gourmet foods and cheeses from Seacrest and Queen of the Pantry. Plus you can find local seasonal beers from 2BeerGuys.com. There will even be a wine basket raffle.

Beverly Wine & Beer Co.
47 Dodge St.
Beverly, MA
From 3-6pm.
This is the celebration of their 5th Year Anniversary. There will be wine, food and music. This will be their largest tasting event ever. Plus they are hosting the first ever "Pot Luck Wine Tasting." Though they are supplying all the wine, the customers will be bringing the food! There is no obligation, but if you have a special recipe you want to share, that would be wonderful. And if you write up the recipe, they will compile some of the crowd favorites for inclusion on their web site.

Grapevine Travelers
18 High St.
Medford, MA
From 1-5pm.
A Grand Tasting with lots of wines, beers and appetizers.

Spirited Gourmet
448 Common St.
Belmont, MA
From 3-7pm.
Their Spring Tasting will feature over 60 wines, delicious food, and raffles. It also coincides with Belmont's Town Day so you can spend the day in town and then hit The Spirited Gourmet for this tasting extravaganza.

I will be leading a group of the North Shore Winers to the OurGlass Wine Co. tasting. Their tastings have always been very popular with my wine group. Plus, it was the first of these four tastings that I had known about and I set up our trip immediately. Some of my group, including myself, will also find their way to Grapevine Travelers as it begins before the OurGlass Tasting. I wish I could attend the other two tastings as well but it just is not possible. I am sure all of these events will be excellent.

So make plans now to attend one of these grand tastings.
